This policy describes how Cranberry Peak Corp. handles information associated with the Cranberry Peak and PayerAnalytics websites, including the Hospital Price Transparency Checker.
Information we process
When you run a review, the checker processes the hospital website address you submit and the public pages and files needed to produce the result. Do not submit patient information, protected health information, credentials, or other confidential information.
Our hosting systems may automatically process technical and traffic information such as the date and time of a request, requested website address, IP address, browser or user-agent information, referring page, request identifiers, response status, and diagnostic or security events.
How we use information
We use this information to provide review results, operate and secure the Site, diagnose failures, prevent misuse, understand aggregate usage, and improve the service. We do not use submitted hospital URLs to make CMS enforcement or compliance decisions.
Service providers and third-party websites
The Site is hosted using Microsoft Azure, which may process technical information on our behalf to provide hosting, security, and diagnostic services. A scan requests public content from the hospital website and other public links it provides. Those third-party services have their own privacy and security practices, which Cranberry Peak does not control.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information collected through the checker. We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the Site; when authorized by you; when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, security, or property of Cranberry Peak or others; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution. Retention may vary by record type and hosting configuration. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
